Dream Catchers (sometimes spelled "dreamcatchers") are made by Native American artisans throughout the East Coast, Midwest, Southwest, and Canada. Here is what one of our Cherokee artisans, Rebecca Wood, says about dream catchers:
"Native Americans believe that the night air is filled with good and bad spirits while you sleep. The dream catcher catches and traps the evil ones in its web and allows the good ones througth the center. It said that the trapped evil spirits disappear as soon as the sun rises in the morning and that having them gone helps steer away their negative influence in your life and allows the good ones to pass through so you can sleep well and receive messages from your Creator in your dreams.
