3 Trails West3 Trails West2010 Release{>}Click here for podcast of interview with Garry Bury and the musicians of 3 Trails West recorded on February 11, 2012 on "Around the Barn" on KHTS 1220 AM .From our Purveyor of Music:
What fun it was to meet the musicians behind this CD at the Western Music Association conference in Albuquerque, November 2011! This CD, their first, was nominated for Best Traditional Album by a Duo or Group. They were nominated for, a second time, the prestigious Crescendo Award honoring the best of emerging artists. This time around, they won it! {>}3 TRAILS WEST is comprised of three veteran Kansas City musicians Roger Eilts, Leo Eilts, and Garry Bury. Other local and regional musicians join them on a regular basis as "Trailhands" to provide hot licks to compliment the trio's tight vocal harmonies.
"Life is okay, 'long as you ride!" --Andy Parker
Notes From the CD:These are a few of our favorite tunes from the silver screen era of Western Music. It's a mere sampling of some of the musicians we consider the best. Right up there with Gene and Roy were the great bands of Andy Parker and the Plainsmen, Sons of the Pioneers, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys as well as individuals like Cindy Walker. We tip our collective ten gallon hat to them and their unparalleled contributions to Western Music. out hope is that we have done these artists justice and that they won't mind the 3TW brand on their stock. We ain't rustlin' these songs, honest...we're just borrowing them for a while.
For the ultimate listening experience we recommend putting on your best western duds, grab a handful of leather and hang on! If it sounds like we're having a good time, we are.
