Trish Lester, Joan Enguita & Linda Geleris singing as “Women on the Move Trio” gave a two-hour concert at Old Town Newhall's new trendy Western Boutique and Cultural Center, OutWest, recently. It was a family friendly show in an intimate setting.

As a trio they shared folk, pop and country songs of love, laughter and hope, showcasing their individual talents highlighted by vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar, dulcimer and a variety of percussion. This family-friendly entertainment centered around original music and lyrics written by each performer and included songs by the legendary Joni Mitchell.

We met singer/songwriter Trish Lester last fall and looked forward to the performance of the group, Women on the Move Trio, when they performed at OutWest May 22nd. When these three friends have the opportunity to sing together they take full advantage. Earlier this spring, I had the pleasure of hearing them at the first Annual Women's Conference organized by our local Congressman, Buck McKeon. Their tight harmonies, stage presence, and stirring songs caught the audience's attention and thoroughly engaged us. We laughed, we chortled, we tapped our toes and sang along. Some of us wept. We were on our feet to show these performers our appreciation.

About the CD:
On this CD, 14 women sing out against domestic violence. And raise their voices to raise funds for domestic violence shelters. Includes a 20 page booklet and all song lyrics. Blues, folk, rock - whatever your music preference you'll discover it here.
