Karen Brock is a multi-talented and creative designer. She has a passion for all things Western but also for...vintage kimonos. Now, you may think that's an odd combination but it's not. When you love textiles, quilts, and great design you can't help but be enamoured by kimonos. When I met Karen, first we looked at her Western pieces - throws and pillows. Then, as an afterthought she asked if I'd like to see her kimono pieces. Of course!

When she presented the throws and scarves made from vintage kimonos I was stunned. Gorgeous. Breathtaking. Art to grace a wall, or wrap around the body, or throw across a bed. Then, she brought out bins of these cosmetic bag trios, made from the remaining bits and pieces of the kimonos used for throws and scarves. What fun! We emptied the bins onto the floor and looked at evey one - they were like little gems or Easter eggs - so brightly colored and gaily winking at us. We chose several sets, these one is all that remain.

What a pretty way to present a small gift, like a piece of jewelry. Could be used for coins, keys, other small items that clutter the bottom of your handbag.

This set contains three zip top bags. Two are nestled inside the big one. The photos show both sides of the large bag- one side features a graceful flying bird and the other is a floral design.
