Synopsis:
The Last Round-Up is a story of modern times, thundering with all the thrills of the old West. Gene Autry is a cattle rancher determined to protect the interests of neighboring ranchers and Indians against unscrupulous land manipulators when local authorities plan to build an aqueduct. When The Last Round-Up was released in theaters, Gene Autry was on the air with his weekly 30 minute Melody Ranch radio show. On December 7, 1947 Gene's radio program presented a show saluting "a guy called G.I. Joe, Infantryman – Sailor – Flyer – Marine – American" on the sixth anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Patriotic and war-related songs as well as a drama about a soldier home from war are just a few of the highlights from this special radio program.
