This large pretty piece of Gaspeite is set in bright Sterling Silver setting with attached stamp bale. Clear, bright apple green with rich brown matrix. Created by Santo Domingo artist Joeba Benavidez with artist's hallmark on reverse. Shown suspended on Large Navajo Pearls, no longer available.

Gaspeite is found around nickel sulfide deposits and is named for its locale of origin, Gaspe Peninsula of Quebec. Now mined also in Western Australia. It is a fairly new gem stone as it was first discovered in 1966.
