Al Shelton loves western lore and most everything that is related to the days that he spent on the ranch. In fact, Al was a cowboy & horse breaker in Colorado and the surrounding states in the 1930's & 1940's. Al has a special gift with horses and was able to tame them for domestic use with good success. However, more than one spirited horse crossed Al's path during that time and he has many fond memories of these experiences.

Al Shelton first painted this work for a noted Hollywood movie Director. He also wrote a touching story about the fictitious family who once live there.
