According to the Book of Genesis, the Tree of Life grew in the middle of the Garden of Eden along with the infamous Tree of Knowledge. Adam and Eve were allowed, according to the Bible, to eat from the Tree of Life. Symbolically, the Tree of Life represents eternal aliveness or fulfillment. Artists and craftsmen have imagined and interpreted the Tree of Life for centuries. Its image can be found on the painted canvas, embroidered on samplers, and painted on furniture. Here it is lavishly depicted on a lush jewel-like green heart. Alive with butterflies, geckos, bees, doves, cardinals, lady bugs, dragon flies, and hummingbirds it is a testimony to the richness of life in the West. Every branch is abloom with flower blossoms. Lovingly created and painstakingly painted, this 4” wide by 4.5” tall will be a daily reminder of life’s abundance and joy.
