Robert Leroy Johnson was an American blues singer and musician. Mississippi born singer/songwriter, guitarist and harmonica player, his short career impacted the later careers of such notables as Eric Clapton. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, he is ranked 5th in Rolling Stone's list of Greatest Guitarist's of All Times
