The Black Irish Band, based in the California Gold Rush region, has been together for nineteen years. This is their 19th CD. Its all about the history, people, and places of California  Once again, sixteen of the seventeen songs on the CD are original with words and music written by the multi-talented Patrick Michael Karnahan. The band has performed at the Kennedy Center, Smithsonian Folklife Festival, and the California State Railroad Museum many times. 

 

Michael Martin Murphey recorded "Into the Fire" with the Black Irish and he re-joins them on "The Grizzly of Old California."
