 The Black Irish Band, featuring Michael Martin Murphey, takes us on a musical journey into the lives of those that work amid the dangers of wildland firefighting and honors their sacrifice. Two song ballads celebrate the very symbol of the forest service, Smokey The Bear. Patrick Karnahan penned most of the songs based on his many years working for the forest service. These songs were performed live at both the Smithsonian and Kennedy Center in 2005.
