Label: BMG Music
From our Purveyor of Music:
The first time I saw a TV program in "living color" was during a visit to my cousins' home in the midwest. First came the NBC Peacock - in gorgeous color- and then that stirring theme music and the map ablaze. WOW! If you remember the men of the Ponderosa with warm nostalgic memories, like I do, you'll enjoy this classic holiday mixture of music, dialogue, and Christmas carols.
From the CD cover:
Giant pines-snow-tinseled-gleaming under a star-frosted sky; silver sleigh bells jingling crisply far away; wood smoke rising fragrantly into the still air...and friendly voices sending carols through the sparkling night; this is Christmas on the Ponderosa. In this setting, Ben Cartwright extends the encircling warmth of his hearty hospitality...and the circle embraces all of us, his neighbors and friends...We troop into the Cartwright ranch house, inhaling the mingled aromas of apples, and popcorn and mincemeat and kerosene...and pine knots bubbling in the fireplace. Hoss hauls us in, booming his greetings and bruising our hands in his mammoth grip; and Little Joe with a big smile of welcome spread over his face, fairly sparkles with cordiality.
