Congratulations Dave Stamey!
Named "Outstanding Male Performer 2011" by the Western Music Association
From the liner notes Dave Stamey shares:
"In 1995, I went into the studio, just yours truly and a guitar, and recorded a little cassette album we called
Campfire Waltz. Never intended for wide distribution, somehow it became a fairly popular item, and people began asking if it was ever coming out on CD. The problem was, there were things on the original recording-glitches, creaks, and other flaws all relating to the performance - that I did not care to have out there, if I could help it. The best thing, we decided, would be to start from scratch and re-record the entire album. This we have done, with some minor changes and a fw substitutions.
This whole thing started around a campfire nearly a decade ago, when friends would gather after a long day's ride to listen to music, with a millon stars overhead and th air full of the good smells of coffee, horses and leather. It was then, and is now, a waltz of kindred souls. "
