CD Dave Stamey: If I Had A Horse
If I Had A Horse Dave Stamey
Released: 2004 Congratulations Dave Stamey!Named "Outstanding Male Performer 2011" by the Western Music AssociationFrom our Purveyor of Music: This is one of my favorite CDs and I play it constantly. Each song sings to me for different reasons. If I Had A Horse always makes me smile, especially to the references to my Cowboy Heros like Gene Autry. "Somewhere West of Laramie" is the result of a creative collaboration between Dave Stamey, Richard Elloyan, Ken Graydon, and Gary Robertson. Its based on one of our favorite images, an automobile ad from the 1930s of a gal in a convertible big 'ol classic car. "Campfire Waltz" is just a beautiful, lyrical song dedicated to Dave's love of his wife, Melissa. "A Pan Full of Dust" tells the story of "the boys who flocked to California in 1848-1852, most had the idea they could just bend over and pick up gold nuggets off the ground. Instead, the world they found was harsh and crude, full of back-breaking work, and in most cases the results were disappointing."
This belongs in every Western music library.
