What an honor it was to have The Cowgirls with us on Friday, August 21 for our first in-store music and poetry event! We guaranteed you a fun filled evening of great music, poetry, and Western hospitality, and it was. These three gals are all headliners in their own right, and to share an evening with them was magic. We made a special trip up to Mavericks Coffee in Visalia last year to see them, and it was a memorable evening. Who knew then we'd be hosting them just a year later?!

The release of this remarkable CD put Joni Harms fully in the spotlight. She was voted by WMA (Western Music Association) members the 2003 Female Performer of the Year and, from this recording, Cowboy Up was honored with the Song of the Year award. These are all songs to set your life to. My favorites are the title track, Let's Put the Western Back in the Country, Murphy's Law, Oregon Trail, We Work It Out, and I Still Do.
