TRACK LISTING

1 The Kamikaze Cow
   Listen High-speed
   Listen Dial-up
You've heard of historical fiction? Well, this is fairly close. It's historical
B.S. The time, place, and characters are true but the event was the result
of an over active imagination and bad pizza.

2 The Cowboy and The Queen
    Listen High-speed
    Listen Dial-up
This one goes by both titles. Sorry. It's a neat story about a little boy that
wants to grow up to be a cowboy and a little girl that wants to be a queen.
I don't want to spoil it for you, so I ain't telling you any more.

3 The Old Diamond O
   Listen High-speed
   Listen Dial-up
Things keep changin', and not always for the better. This is a saga of an end
to an era. An old ranch family can't hold on any longer, and like the red man
and his buffalo, are flatten by the cruel wheels of change. "Progress" wins
again. "Now they're plowing down the Old Diamond O."

4 Arnie Ain't a Cowboy
   Listen High-speed
   Listen Dial-up
My old pal, Arnold Hokanson, sold his good herd of Hereford cows a year
or so back, and rented out his ranch. Arnie is also a great poet, and this little
piece was to poke fun at him. Hope you like it.

5 Home

A few years ago we were blessed with a new little Granddaughter, Faith
Karleen Halingstad, born here in our old home. Her parents ranch 20 miles
or so from a paved road, and wanted to use a midwife. Our place is only
about 25 miles from a hospital, in case there were problems so it was a
logical choice. The last baby to be born here was in the 1930s. This was
written from the prospective of our old ranch house.

6 Damned Old Hole
   Listen High-speed
   Listen Dial-up
This one started when I heard some real Irish music, and I like the lilt so much
I went home and wrote an Irish soundin' song. I also do it as a poem. Its the
story of a hard workin', hard drinkin' Irishman, whose heart was only hard on
   the outside.

7 Arnie's Fuzzy Face
   Listen High-speed
   Listen Dial-up
Just another poke at an old friend. You should hear what he says about me.

8 Grandma's Gown
   Listen High-speed
   Listen Dial-up
This is the story about a man with a brother that was severely handicapped
from birth. You can learn from anyone, if you just try, and the "normal"
brother learned a lot. This one came to life when I did a benefit a few years
ago to raise money for a home for the developmentally disabled.

9 The Propane Story
   Listen High-speed
   Listen Dial-up
This one is not only based on fact, but is 100% true. It happened right here
on our place. My dear little bride denies a lot of it, trying desperately to
preserve her image. I think you'll understand it when you hear it.

10 A Cowboy's Christmas Prayer
     Listen High-speed
     Listen Dial-up
I wrote this little piece to include with one of our Christmas cards. It sort
of compares cowboys to cows, and they've really got moe in common than
    you might think.

11 The Mist of the Wild Rose
      Listen High-speed
      Listen Dial-up
I've had more requests for this than anything I've done. It's a fantasy abou
a cowboy and an old set of abandoned buildings. It seems they're all over
the place out west, and at one time, all contained families with dreams.
Who were they? Where did they go? Why did they leave? What happened
     to their dreams?
