I first heard the Sons Of The San Joaquin perform live at the Autry National Center Museum of the American West,(formerly the Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum) back in the very early 1990s and then again at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival in 1994 at historic Melody Ranch™. They were just getting started then but already had a loyal and enthusiastic following. My personal favorites from this album are From Whence Came the Cowboy, Wyoming On My Mind, Prairie Girl, and Great American Cowboy.
