From our Purveyor of Books:
You don't have to be a member of the "younger set" to enjoy this amazing Pop-Up Book. The Wild West is brought to life through the engineering wizardry of paper engineer extraordinaire Anton Radevksy.
From the Publisher:
Through popular lore, fantastic true stories, and some of the finest movies ever made, the Western has an enduring grip on America’s—and the world’s—imagination.
Paper engineering genius Anton Radevsky has caught the spirit of this legendary era in an amazingly constructed and informative pop-up book. Vivid artwork, including maps and stunning three-dimensional illustrations, brilliantly capture all the hardships, romance, danger, and adventure associated with the period. Page by eye-popping page, it covers the rapid development of communication and transport, the conflicts with Native Americans, the great Gold Rush, and the long cattle drives.
And, in addition to pop-ups that literally jump out at you (an entire old west town, teepee, holster and pistol with a working trigger, cattle on the trail, and cowboys on horseback), The Wild West Pop-Up Book offers an exciting bonus: freestanding action forms including a stagecoach and horses, covered wagon drawn by oxen, steam engine with passenger and coal cars, and cowboy in full regalia!
