The True Origins Of The Legendary Masked Man

Clayton Moore stars as the legendary Lone Ranger with Jay Silverheels as his faithful Indian companion, Tonto, in this story of the origins of the West's most mysterious hero.

Six Texas Rangers, led by Captain Dan Reid, set out to capture the notorious Cavendish gang. They are led into a trap as they ride through the narrow path in the cliffs known as Bryant's Gap where they are brutally ambushed. All of the Rangers are shot and left for dead. Tonto, a Mohawk Indian scout, happens upon the scene of the massacre and discovers one of the Rangers half alive. Carrying the badly wounded man to the shelter of a nearby cave, Tonto nurses him back to health. The survivor, John Reid tells his story to Tonto and the two become friends.

Wearing a mask as a memorial to his fallen comrades and to protect his identity, armed with silver bullets, astride the magnificent white stallion, Silver, The Lone Ranger is born, vowing to bring justice to the Cavendish gang. The Lone Ranger will go on to strike fear and terror into the hearts of all who would do evil in the old west.

From the DVD:
"King of the Cowboys" Roy Rogers is mistaken for a notorious gunslinger when he arrives in Tombstone, a lawless frontier town. The corrupt mayor has sent for the hired gun in order to strong-arm the town into obeying his will. Roy Rogers and his pal Gabby, unaware of the mayor's plan, agree to help him restore law and order. As Roy begins to suspect the mayor's evil intentions, the real gunman shows up, triggering a final showdown.

The Oklahoma Cyclone starring Bob Steele:
Bob falls for a lovely senorita when he falls in with a crowd of outlaws.

From the DVD:
Cowboy star Bob Steele makes his movie singing debut in The Oklahoma Cyclone, the second of his eight westerns made for release by Tiffany. The quiet border town of Santa Maria has been overrun by a gang of bandits who terrorize the peaceful - and in the case of Carmelita (Rita Ray), beautiful - inhabitants. Steele, the Oklahoma Cyclone of the title, disguises himself as a bandit in order to infiltrate the gang who has abducted his father, the sheriff. The Oklahoma Cyclone shoots straight and sings three songs in this vintage Western.

Black and White, Released in 1930, 1 hour and 4 minutes.

Wild Horse
starring Hoot Gibson:
A pair of Bronco Busters sign up to work at a rodeo ranch where "Devil," a wild horse, is waiting to be tamed.

From the DVD
:
Hoot Gibson considered his part in the fast-paced western Wild Horse to be his favorite among all of his starring roles. He plays Jim Wright, a cowpoke working on a rodeo ranch, who manages to capture "the Devil Horse," a steed that had successfully eluded all the area's horse wranglers. But the horse is stolen by ranch hand Edmund Cobb who also murders Gibson's buddy Bill Robbins. Things get intense when Gibson is blamed for both crimes. "The Devil Horse" was played by the magnificent Mut, a horse from Gibson's own stable.

Black and White, Released in 1931. 1 hour and 8 minutes.
