From our Purveyor of Entertainment:
Peter Sherayko and Buffalo Bill must share DNA! The first time I met Peter I was sure I had stepped back in time. Larger than life, Peter and his production company Caravan West, are involved in every facet of the Western film business. If you are an avid Western fan you've seen him many times. His expertise in all things Western including firearms, saddle and tack, clothing, architecture, and frontier manners is called upon by directors, collectors, and researchers. He is the author of the now out-of-print, The Guns and Gear of Tombstone, which highlighted all the firearms used in the film.
According to the Denver Post, Peter's portrayal of his hero, Buffalo Bill, is "a unique one-man show that brings the legend of Buffalo Bill Cody back to life."
From the DVD cover:
Buffalo Bill's Wild West was seen by millions of people world wide. He became a legendary figure through dime novels and, in the process, lost his true identity as William F. Cody, a man who received many commendations for his bravery and daring while serving with the U.S. Army and was a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. A controversial figure and often called a charlatan and a braggart, Cody was a businessman with both courage and faults who contributed most of his personal fortune to develop the West. This is the man commemorated in this one-man show.
When Cody (portrayed by Colonel Peter Sherayko) enters the room, the audience is swept back into another time. Surrounded by artifacts from his life - firearms, knives, a buffalo head and Indian artifacts, to name a few-Cody relives the most important moments of his life. He shares his experiences hunting buffalo, as Army scout and entertainer with us. We meet his friends and associates through his eyes - Yellow Hand, Texas Jack, Wild Bill Hickok, Sitting Bull, Ned Buntline, his beloved wife LuLu and son Kit Carson Cody.
Sherayko presents more than the myth of Buffalo Bill. He brings to life the soul of the man who was devoted to his audience, his honor and his country. He brings you...Cody! An Evening with Buffalo Bill.
