Holly George-Warren is the author of
Cowboy! How Hollywood Invented the Wild West and the children's books
Shake, Rattle & Roll; Honky-Tonk Heroes and Hillbilly Angels; and the 2007 Gene Autry biography,
Public Cowboy #1. She has lectured on the history of Western wear at museums around the country, including the Autry National Center, the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.
Michelle Freedman is the author of the children's book The Ravioli Kid, an Original Spaghetti Western. She's a clothing designer based in Portland, Oregon, whose fashions have appeared in Details and Texas Monthly. Jer costume designs can be seen in the Grammy nominated film Welcome to the Club-The Women of Rockabilly , and a forthcoming documentary on Edward Weston and Charles Wilson.
James H. Nottage is former chief curator of the Autry National Center and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Curatorial Officer at the Eiteljorg Museum of the American Indians and Western Art in Indianapolis. He is an authority on the history of the American West and nineteenth-century cowboy culture. He has published extensively in the fields of history and popular culture, including the books Saddlemaker to the Stars: The Leather and Silver Art of Edward H. Bohlin and Powerful Images: Portrayals of Native America.
Marty Stuart played with Lester Flatt, Bassar Clements, Doc Watson, and Johnny Cash before going solo in 1982. Stuart has since collaborated with Travis Tritt, Steve Earle, George Jones, Willie Nelson, and countless other country greats. Recipient of numerous gold records, a Country Music Association award, and three Grammy awards. A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992, Stuart is an avid collector of country music clothing and memorabilia.
