This striking image of Anacapa Inspiration Point was captured by artist Robert Mance.  Located about 14 miles off the coast of Ventura, California it is part of Channel Islands National Park. Anacapa takes its name from the indigenous Chumash's word eneepah meaning "mirage island."

In this image one can see two of its three islets: Middle and West Islets.
