Julian and Kelly Coriz, Santo Domingo, have been married for 18 years. They live in Santa Domingo Pueblo with their three daughters. Their work is unique and every piece is a family effort. Julian analyzes the stones; he chooses, slices, and arranges pieces until he reaches the initial design. Then, Kelly and the older girls string and polish while Nayda, the youngest sister, watches and learns. Julian says that the best part of his job is continuing the tradition of heiche and working at his own pace.
