This exquisite one-of-a-kind necklace is from Two Grey Hills, the Beads of Enchantment Collection, named for the sought after trade bead.
The trade bead was destined to play a very important part in the exploration and colonization of our great Southwest. New Mexico and Arizona, because of their very early and long continuous exposure, are no doubt two of the richest areas in early Spanish trade beads, as well as many other varieties. Each succeeding generation of conquistadors, trappers, explorers, Indian traders or colonizers left with the American Indian countless numbers and types of colorful beads.
This five strand necklace is composed of Coral, Turquoise, Lapis, Sugilite, Agate, Amber, 18th Century White Hearts, Spiney Oyster, Onyx, Lionspaw, Gaspeite, Pipestone, and Peridot. Approximately 20" in length with stamped silver cone ends. Extremely versatile because of the wide variety of colors, you'll reach for this again and again. This one-of -a-kind piece is totally handmade by Native American artisans.
