OUTWEST is proud to represent the skilled artisans of {>} John R. Craighead Co., Inc. who have been making western saddles, harnesses and leather accessories since 1876. Later on, children’s toy holster sets and other cowboy gear were added along with Western suede outfits.
Traditional Western toys of the 1930’s, 40’s, and 50’s included toy pistol and holster sets, trick lariats, spurs, handcuffs, rubber knives, canteens and other survival gear, and lawmen badges. If you were lucky, you had a fully loaded bike decked out with cowboy trim including a horse head and saddlebags. John R. Craighead Co., Inc. continues these traditions for the modern cowboy and cowgirl enthusiast. Not much as changed except that contemporary toy pistols are capped with orange tips, and not all will take a roll cap. Pistol sets that take a roll cap are noted. Sorry, we don’t offer roll caps at this time.
