Steven R. Heape, president and executive producer of Rich-Heape Films, produced his first film, “Location to Recovery,” in 1981. It is considered the standard for quality documentary filmmaking in the oil and gas exploration industry. Mr. Heape is an inaugural inductee in the National Cowboys of Color Hall of Fame and was commended by the 108th Congress for his extraordinary efforts to document and preserve Native American culture and the part it played in American history. He is also President and founder of the Sovereign Nations Preservation Project, a non-profit organization that addresses the extremely high level of juvenile diabetes in the Native American Community, in addition to capturing and reviving American Indian languages.

Chip Richie, producer and director of Rich-Heape Films, learned to tell compelling visual stories at the knee of his father, a documentary filmmaker and photographer. Mr. Richie took over the business in 1984, making Richie Media Productions the oldest motion picture company in the Southwest. Mr. Richie has won numerous awards for his filmmaking, which includes corporate presentations and television commercials. He on the advisory board of Philanthropy World Magazine and is a board member and past president of the Dallas Producers Association.

Together, Steven R. Heape and Chip Richie are recognized internationally as filmmakers with vision and passion, and for their ability to inform, educate and entertain in the name of Native Peoples.
