Exciting and talented performer, TERRY BROWN, kicks off the fall season of the SCVTV Presents The OutWest Concert Series with a night of great music. Do you enjoy Country Music? You'll enjoy Terry Brown. Do you enjoy Western Music? You'll enjoy Terry Brown. Do you enjoy great, toe-tapping, inspiring music? You'll enjoy Terry Brown!

After spending 36 weeks in the top 30 on the Western Music Charts, Terry Brown's latest CD, "It's A Cowboy Thang" garnered a nomination for Album Of The Year from the Academy Of Western Artist. Terry's song "Silver Spur" won the Song Of The Year honors from the AWA in 2000 and Terry was nominated for Rising Star, Male Vocalist and Album Of The Year. Recently nominated by the Western Music Association for 2013 Traditional Western Album of the Year,  "It's A Cowboy Thang" currently sits at #2 on the APD Global Americana Music charts.
Terry has toured for over 25 years and can shine in the singer/songwriter role with just his acoustic guitar or bring the house down with his band. He has performed with Chris LeDoux, Aaron Tippin, Toby Keith, and Brooks and Dunn as well as other major stars. With the release of Terry's new CD, "It's A Cowboy Thang", in March 2012, Terry feels like he has created a project that can help close the gap between traditional Western music and mainstream radio. Terry is known as "The Louis L'Amour of the Cowboy Singers". Hearing one of Terry's western songs is like reading a good western novel, only it doesn't take as long. Having performed his music at hundreds of rodeos and venues around the country, Terry knows a little something about the cowboy spirit and has a deep respect for our western roots.
With a catalogue of over 1200 songs and over 70 songs recorded by other acts, Terry's songs have appeared on millions of records worldwide. Terry has the kind of voice that is perfectly suited for the storyteller role. Its depth and emotional quality make you believe the stories he sings and makes you want to hear them again and again.

Help us welcome Terry Brown to the Concert Series new home and give him our famous "Warm OutWest Welcome." As usual, dress your best as SCVTV will be filming and you just might be on camera!

About Terry Brown
Born and raised on a farm/ranch in Gracemont, Oklahoma, Terry Brown is a cowboy!

Terry spent most of his adult life in Nashville, TN., singin', writin, and tourin'.  After 26 years and over 70 songs cut by other artists Terry has numerous awards, nominations and chart topping hits.

Terry is married to Cowgirl Hall of Fame Nominee, and World Famous Trick & Fancy Roper, Hilda Machado.  Currently, Terry and his wife are in development with a feature film based on Terry's song Silver Spur, which won Song of the Year honors from the Academy of Western Artists in 2000.

Terry believes bein' a cowboy is a decision. It's the way you look at life. A philosophy. A cowboy always does what's right, defends those that can't defend themselves and puts his responsibilities (his herd/family) ahead of himself.

You don't have to ride a horse or wear a hat to do that.  It doesn't matter where you live, New York City, Tokyo, Japan, or the biggest ranch in Texas. If you live by the code you've earned the right. Terry thinks you'll like bein' a cowboy.
